Allan Prior was born on January 13, 1922 in Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland, England. He was a writer and director, known for Z Cars (1962), Blake's 7 (1978) and The Sweeney (1974). He was married to Norma Ochs and Edith Adonia Playford. He died on June 1, 2006 in St Albans, Hertfordshire, England.
