A graduate of Jersey City State University with a B.S. in computer science, Adams was a partner in a trucking company when he decided to pursue a career in entertainment. He signed with the Boss Modeling Agency and had his first major break as an actor in winning a role on the soap opera Sunset Beach (1997).
