Alessandro Baricco was born on January 25, 1958 in Turin, Piedmont, Italy. He is a writer and director, known for The Legend of 1900 (1998), Lecture 21 (2008) and The Belly of the Sea (2021). He is married to Barbara Frandino. They have two children.
