昨晚的颁奖典礼在洛杉矶的斯台普斯中心球场（Staples Center）举行。Beyoncé在颁奖典礼上独揽六个大奖让她成为在一届格莱美中夺得最多奖项的女歌手。

Beyoncé凭着单曲《Single Ladies》夺得《年度单曲奖》、《最佳R&B单曲奖》和《最佳R&B女歌手奖》；同时，她凭着专辑《I Am...Sasha Fierce》赢得《最佳当代R&B专辑奖》。凭着单曲《Halo》，她夺得《最佳流行女声表演奖》。她更凭着在奥巴马的就职典礼上演唱歌曲《At Last》从而夺得《最佳传统R&B表演奖》。

乡村女歌手Taylor Swift同样满载而归，她击败了Beyoncé、Lady GaGa、Black Eyed Peas和Dave Matthews Band凭着专辑《Fearless》获得颇具分量的《年度专辑奖》。《Fearless》也成为《最佳乡村专辑》。Taylor凭着单曲《White Hourse》夺得《最佳乡村歌曲》和《最佳乡村女声表演奖》。

摇滚乐队Kings of Leon凭着单曲《Use Somebody》击败Beyoncé的单曲《Halo》、Black Eyed Peas的单曲《I Gotta Feeling》、Taylor Swift的单曲《You Belong with Me》以及Lady GaGa的单曲《Poker Face》赢得《年度唱片奖》。

尽管Lady GaGa在综合类奖项中铩羽而归，但她还是凭着单曲《Poker Face》夺得《最佳舞曲唱片奖》，并凭借专辑《The Fame》夺得《最佳电子舞曲专辑奖》。
